Simple and extremely fun—probably the most immediately enjoyable game I’ve tried in the jam so far, despite the simple graphics. I managed to finish it on my first attempt, and I mean that as a compliment for a jam game: it feels accessible, well-paced, and satisfying from the beginning.

A little more variety between levels would improve the experience, but the core gameplay is already very enjoyable. The music is pleasant and fits the action perfectly. I was surprised to learn that it was generated automatically using a Python script created with Claude; in my experience, producing good music directly through code is not esay. Did you have to iterate on the music several times before achieving this result? Great work!

Thanks for the feedback!

For the music, I really only had to ask claude the one time, and I didn't even give it much of a prompt, just "we need to add music" and it handled the rest. I think it was during the week that they were letting people use the newest model for free so that could have been why it turned out so well.

Pretty simple, solid, and fun. I played it to the end! Can't go wrong with a game with physics and explosions and mayhem.

Dr. Overkill lives up to his name! How do you find gamelabstudio.co? Useful?

DeveloperSubmitted (1 edit) (+1)

gamelabstudio.co was alright when using it manually, it guides you through the process of making the images or animations you are looking for but once I got Claude talking directly to it, the process became much more useful. Claude was able to drive the whole process and do thing like run tests for different prompt language to find the best fit for the style I wanted, it took about 6 credits to find the right style and then each image was coming out exactly as I wanted it. I only had to go back and replace one generated image because it was wanted to use an SS uniform for one of the enemies and that was not the vibe I wanted :P
