I just saw that there was a sudden balance patch a week ago so this might have changed, but formerly it was the Broken Sword, Brass Knuckles and Dagger in that order imo.
Don't remember the bronze lasso- Knight Sword was underwhelming pre-balance patch even if you equipped every single shield accessory. Try them out yourself, save before upgrading and reload if they suck- though I think you can remove upgrades at the water zone now.
