it's the best fourth edition adventure i've ever saw. Not that i saw so much of them. But it's the best nontheless
A solid dungeon with good hooks, multiple exits (which a smart party might turn into entrances) and good writing. One of the most solid entries of this jam. The cover is gorgeous, but the rest of the design suffers a little bit the presence of the typical 4e boxes.
A solid dungeon crawl with several tactical challenges and very clear mechanics. Thematically rather grim, but within Appendix N expectations. I like the layout a lot. It makes me wish I played more 4e instead of 3.5e as recommended by well-meaning friends back then.
You did a good job of making this adventure feel old school.
4E brought a lot of great ideas into or in support of mechanics-forward ttrpg design. Seems like you're carrying the torch there. Love the inspo and framing here.
Really captures the feeling of a slightly sleazy, grotesque copy of some pulp horror novel (this is good!). I feel some of the rooms may have been better served if the 'encounter' or room contents were fixed. It would allow you more space to build in more interactivity.
I like the cover too.
Takes real guts to do a 4e adventure in a hurricane of OSR stuff. I like your style!
Clean checks-and-fights structure and a classic silver age plot. Nice!
