Hey, I found a bug that prevented me from continuing the game:

So you know the basement door without a handle.. you open it with the Pliers and it locks behind you. I did that, left the area, and kept playing.
Later I came back and tried the same door again, this time by using the Work Gloves. To my surprise, the door unlocked back in the same way it did with the Pliers.
Without a clue, I continued my journey and eventually found the Washing Machine with the barbed wire inside.. you guessed it.. since the Work Gloves were gone (used), there was no other way for me to search inside.
I checked the walkthrough videos in the comments and it seems there's no other way around it, I ended up bugging the game.
My guess is that because the Work Gloves were in the same Inventory Slot as the Pliers, they worked just as well on the basement door. I think the door may have reset to its initial state after it locked behind me and then it expected Slot 3 to be used on it (regardless of what was in Slot 3)..
