I usually buy upgrades in order for everything, but prioritized the <99 pieces upgrades until finishing all six under 99 pieces. Only issue I’ve had so far is that a slight bright pulse a puzzle does when a piece connects that seems to be just a random collection of pieces around the remaining space - but that’s only visual and does not hamper my gameplay whatsoever.
