The scatting on the walls is really coo, wish I got to see more of that. At times it felt like I had too much room to dodge things. Like I could just go to the other side of the track and let the rocks fall or spikey swinging things just be else where. I played temple run a lot back in the day, part of that is you saw an obstacle coming and there were some you had to time the interaction with, jump or duck. and that was part of the fun many of the obstacles I could just skate away from. I felt a lack of danger much of the time, rather than tense and prepping a future timing, I found myself just not challenged in a way I wanted. I appreciate you were generous with the player for swapping from on the wall to the ground or even on the ceiling. The falling rock idea was cool, and the concept of a skeleton on a skate board is metal!
Thanks so much. You are right, the game was incomplete in many ways. Our team had fantastic ideas and plans, but unfortunately I ran our of time implementing a lot of stuff we planned. Some of those included more variety in obstacles, hazards, and environments. I had to shift into an endless runner near end, instead of a progressing story/difficulty, so it's understandable that the difficulty ceiling leveled out rather quickly.
This reminds me of classic flash games! It was very nostalgic for me and I played longer than I thought I would. Although, I got terrible frame rates, probably just a me thing though.
Thanks for playing, it has been awhile, glad to see you virtually around.
I like the idea (skateboarding games are always fun), creative level design and the overall mood. I can see how a bit more time for playtesting the level, refining obstacles and adding more things to do (like tricks as Tanuki suggested) would have made the game more challenging and engaging. Would love to see a more complete version of your vision :)
Thanks, yes the experience planned was more grand than I had time to commit to it. Thanks for playing!
Thought it was really fun :)
If you ever get the chance to build more on the game I think a score counter and more obstacles would be fun.
And of course the possibility to do tricks <3
Bye bye!
Thanks so much I really glad you enjoyed it! Yes there was a lot we planned, and didn't erven get to do half of it, I guess I am too slow XD.
This is a cool idea, the infinite runner with gravity shifting mechanics. I think it was maybe a little too easy to not fall off the edge, and I appreciated the challenge of lots of falling rocks farther in. I had a good time. I really like the credits :D
Thanks so much, I honestly ran out of time to do everything to make it a grander experience, but needed to submit something for the team :)
