You should put the license in the description then, so people can know what the license is BEFORE they download it.

Also why would it be marked CC0 if the license is different? That would cause confusion, and you should also be careful with the wording for custom clauses/licenses, as they could render your work legally unusable.

Hey guys, the license is a slightly modified Creative Commons Zero v1.0; and it's been like that since forever. If you got here through searching for cc0 licensed material, then it's itch.io's own search function that made a mistake.

Possible. You can set the licence on itch in edit -> metadata -> release info -> license for assets

He is, but with improper licensing, it could not be legal to use, making that fact he’s providing it free of charge pointless, hence my point this whole thread.

What do you mean “nicer”? What am I doing that’s mean? Pointing out the potential legal issues he may be creating in using a crayon license?

Like I said. He gave it to you for free. You aren't entitled to it. If you're so afraid of legal issues, don't use it. The guy explained himself and you decided to come back and repeat yourself.

Like I said, even if it was provided for free, the license could make it illegal to use. Also where did I ever once claim, or even imply I was entitled to it? It seems as though you’re purposefully misunderstanding my point.

Also I asked you a question, which you have not answered: What am I doing that’s mean?
