Overall, it’s a fun idea, and I really like the direction you’re taking with it. One of the first things that came to my mind, though, was the sound design.

In my opinion, good sound design is when you can listen to a background music loop 100 times and it never gets annoying. The same goes for menu click sounds or, in this case, the sound effects of the boots. Especially the green and yellow soles are pretty annoying right now, and they also feel a little too loud.

Other than that, keep doing exactly what you’re doing! Also, the little sole details on the main menu screen definitely didn’t go unnoticed and were appreciated ;)

The only thing that slightly takes away from the immersion for me is the “Press Space Bar” prompt. Compared to the really good-looking logo, it feels a little out of place and brings the overall presentation down a bit, in my opinion.

P.S. I mean its not the case but I wouldn’t go with an AI-generated image for the cover. If I were you, I’d just turn the main menu logo with the color shift into a GIF and use that instead. I think it would have way more character and fit the game much better.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I think music would've taken it all to the next level. I didn't use any AI for anything. I just googled shoe soles and picked that picture, I thought it would be funny, but I agree that using the title screen would've probably been better.
