Thanks! I made this for Sunday Zine Club #14, which had the theme of stars :) I started with looking for collage material in the Smithsonian Open Access Collection, mostly from the NASA part of the collection (and the National Museum of American History + A. Henry Wheeler's paper polyhedral models from another Open Access collection, which were particularly inspiring). For the title, I didn't want to be restricted by the words/collage pieces I had found for the poem itself, and hopefully found the right words to contain it all. I wanted the poem in this escape shuttle to feel more hopeful, yes, of escaping whatever horrors you may be leaving.
