Nice simple concept and fun gameplay! I also especially appreciated the egg-themed menu buttons :)
Really cool game, just wish there was a speed indicator for when the egg of ours is vulnerable and smashing into other eggs felt more impactful with a bit more of a bass and vfx.
Really well done! The controls are simple but feel good to get the hang of, and as someone who primarily does sound in video games I appreciate you taking the time to put in free sfx and music, it really does add a lot :)
Super fun! The control reminds me of bumper car ride. Short and sweet and the balancing feel good. Well done, eggcellent job! Keep up the good work :D
I really liked this. Fun concept and gameplay that is fun once it clicks!
Thank you for playing and the awesome review!
Neat I like that the movement takes some getting used to. It makes the game more engaging. Also love the polish you did on the loading screen and scene transitions.
Thank you for noticing the polish on the loading screen and transitions! One of my main goals this jam was to focus on making my game feel complete and polished!
Simple, but also such a fun game! The "drifting" of the egg you control adds a nice touch of difficulty that really makes you lock in, and the power-ups adds a nice touch of variability to spice up the gameplay! Very good stuff.
Thank you for playing my game and the wonderful review! Yes, I love the drifting! And I can't wait to add a few more powerups to the plate in the future!
Oddly addicting! I really enjoyed the tutorial and egg physics. Web version occasionally froze when grabbing power ups, but otherwise it ran great. :)
Thanks for playing my game and the compliments toward the tutorial (I worked hard on that)!! I'm not great with optimization unfortunately, but I'll try to tinker around with it to make it better on web!
Very cool. Love the take on the theme and fun game. This seems very original. A few moments I panicked as you float around the other eggs. Love the concept and art. Tutorial very cheeky and good. Nice sun glasses.
Thank you for playing!! Yes, the sunglasses are a must have. And I loved tinkering around with the janky physics in this game!
the dopamine rush of killing a bunch of enemies in a single drift is something I didn't know I could feel. I think a pressed restart at least 100 times with how addicting that to chase that fantasy, and I think you did an AMAZING job with the juice of the game. enemy spawns at times felt a little unfair, but that didn't stop me from pressing restart over and over again.
great work!
Thank you for playing (and losing a bunch)!! I definitely do need to tweak the difficulty to make it feel a tad more forgiving but yea I'm so glad you felt it was addicting to play! thank you again!
THIS IS SO COOL.
The drifty-ness of the main player feels so good, whenever you build up a momentum it feels like flying... in general, the simple controls feel really good! I found it tough at times, but in the kind of addictive way that keeps you hooked on it! Great job, I'm egg-ddicted! (That pun was bad I'm sorry for your inconvenience).
AWESOME. :)
Thank you soooo soo soo muchhh! I worked pretty hard on making it feel simple yet rewarding. I think tweaking some settings and adding some more number juice will make it even more awesome!
I really have to say this is an EGGCELENT mechanic you explored. It is really creative, and I loved the tutorial intro. Maintaining the acceleration of the egg was pretty difficult, but overall it was awesome stuff!
Thank you for commenting on the tutorial, I worked hard on that!! I really wanted to add that because I didn't want people to struggle with understanding the gameplay.
This deserves much more love! The design is eye candy, and the gameplay is addictive. i think if you showed me this as a child i would be drooling to this day clicking and trying to get more new high scores. Amazing!
Omg Thank you so much for all the praise!! I think it still needs big flashy numbers and a combo counter but YES, i really wanted it to be arcade-like and addictive in that way!! Thank you for trying it out!
I liked the artwork and music, nice work! The gameplay was pretty interesting and while I didn't get to see all of the power ups in my short playthrough, they looked interesting and unique!
If I may offer some feedback on the gameplay though:
Overall, a very interesting and unique concept - good job!
Thanks for checking out my game!! Your feedback is GREATLY appreciated (no srsly, thank you). Yea, I was thinking of an additional method to gaining speed besides from one of the powerups. I'll play around with adding more survivability but I do want to keep the fragility of being an egg in mind. And lastly, yea, I think I'll definitely add a condition to make sure eggs don't spawn so so close to the player. Thank you again for the feedback!
Great music, the gameplay mechanic was easy enough to figure out but I guess I'm just not that strong of an egg cuz I kept dying lol. Good Game!
Thanks for playing!! I'm glad to hear it was easy to figure out, I do need to work on the break mechanic a bitt more, it seems like the game is a bit hard for most people
its soo hard or i am bad at the game , but good game overall
Thank you! I didn't get to a lot of playtesting done so it might be on the unbalanced side a tad...
Very fun, I'm pretty bad at it but it definitely scratches the itch for fun momentum arcade-like games!
Thank you so much! Yea, I was definitely going for an arcade-like game. If you get certain powerups, you start bouncing around like crazy and racking up points!
very cool game, fun and addicting i like the powerups and the level transition thingys with the shell. cool name also
Thank you!! I loved making the transition!
