This was a very cool idea and pretty well executed. Nice.

Thank you!! I wish I had time to add an opponent AI, but oh well

Oof! Love the Worms x Minecraft mashup :D

Developer

Thank you! I loved the challenge of making it!

Great game! It was a bit confusing having the timer, but hitting someone would end your turn before it ran out. It does use the original game assets though, not sure if this is allowed?

Developer

Hi! Probably should've done it differently, but yes, you skip your turn when you do damage to the enemy team. That's why it's better to use TNT, the bow or to critical hit while falling. If you have an iron sword, it'll do more damage, I think. Also, it's very close but it's actually a texture pack, link in the credits.

I really enjoyed this game it brings back those classic Minecraft vibes, and switching between different characters is such a fun touch!

Developer

Thank you! I wanted to add an AI for the enemy team while playing solo but it was a bit over scope... At least, for the time I had available. It's intended as a PvP match, so if you want, you can alternate turns with a friend or family member!

I like this idea a lot, it's implemented well. Great twist on the original in my opinion. Using minecraft elements and reskinning it.

Developer

Thanks! I went to the wiki where they explain a lot of the formulas and procedures. It's as close as the original as I could achieve. With some liberties here and there to accommodate the new style. Overall I'm happy with what I could achieve, although there's always more I wanted to do. I mostly go solo so I have a lot of things to think about and I'm learning to prioritize and polish my games. Hopefully I can make more than tech demos, and this jam affords me much more time for the things I would neglect on other projects

I'm not sure you read and followed the rules on this one. Interesting idea, Worms but it's Minecraft, though I couldn't seem to do much. I could jump, dig and shoot a bow and throw a pearl, the rest didn't seem to do much at all.

Developer

I hoped to add an AI to play against but didn't have the time to do it in the end. It's basically a PvP match, you have to be the last team standing. And you can also throw TNT, btw

Developer

I also wanted to pivot to a Race for the Wool game mode, but I was strapped for time and this one I knew it was compatible with POV. I would like to say I will try to add that in the future, but I never seem to be able to update my jam entries. Without a deadline, I get distracted by the next project easily.

You used Minecraft's actual music  :(

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I'm not a composer and I always add the option to mute the game. Though in this case, it's c418's music. He owns 100% of his work. I don't do this for commercial purposes either, nor to pass it as my own music. It's in the credits
