Sorry it took me a while to get around to playing this!  I got a kick out of the itch page :P

The core gameplay loop is really fun; I ended up getting sucked in longer than I expected to tbh.  It's a simple idea, but it's quite well executed and feels good to play.  I ended up playing through several runs.  The only thing that's actually missing to make it feel complete is a score counter; I think with that one little addition you'd have a really addictive gameplay loop, and everything other than that is just window dressing.

I like the tank controls, too; they take a little getting used to, but I think they add to the challenge, which is really nice.

Also, of course, super cool that it was made without a fancy engine.  And the little rotate-y protagonist was adorable :)

Thanks,I took a lot of inspiration from your game and Anarch(a suckless FPS,in terms of software architecture),even tried replacating a bit of the Gameboy like the 160x144 and 60 FPS lock.In fact, the protagonist is kind of...taken from your game Gyre because I couldn't think of anything else that's more convenient and I didn't make a triangle drawing function to replace him with that.I really made everything as inconvenient as possible for me.

But,like Kemo said "Well, it's a game."

Well, it was good & it also had animations. Controls were a little hard to get used at first for me. ggs.

Also, not sure if it’s known, but when the game is ON, my browser audio was not working. I’m on wayland so it might be me issue, but I wasn’t expecting that. Did you use something other that SDL audio?

Nope, only SDL_audio
