I like the jet pack cat idea with the twin stick shooter. sadly neither of my controllers wanted to work. There was a bug where I got stuck to the floor and couldn't move up for a bit. felt pretty good to move and shoot even with just keyboard. if there were more than the bee enemies I missed em.
Thanks for playing it :)
I see, strange that the controllers did not work, I was planning to have a controller check but ran out of time ^^"
Hopefully I can get some time in the future to add the controller check and look at that bug of getting stuck in the ground!
Hey, I didn't have a controller at hand so I probably didn't get the whole experience. It's a fun premise, a cat with a jetpack shooting bees and collecting cans of tuna. What's the lore? ;-)
I was able to mostly stay on the ground (so, not using any jet fuel) and quickly shoot the occasional bee. Until I was betrayed by the cat's collider, which seems to not adjust to the sprite's smaller height when on the ground.
Adding a "quit game" functionality to hitting Esc is a very low effort thing to add in order to make the whole experience a bit more polished ;-)
Thanks for playing :D
Haha the lore is the strongest part of the game!
Yeah I noticed that the game turned out to be pretty easy by just hanging around on the ground level.
Planned to solve this by having more aggressive ground enemies but ran out of time.
Also, saving some fuel to try and grab the tuna cans in the air, they give more points than killing enemies.
If I get some extra time to rework it I will sort out the collider issue as well as make it harder to just play on the ground :)
