Unfortunately this plot has she/her pronouns baked in. It sounds stupid, but the lore in this story uses daughter lineage as a main function. Future games are already set to include pronoun friendly mechanics and their stories are more user friendly.
This has actually come up once before and I think I'm going to add a disclaimer to the game itself and in the itch.io page. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'm glad you liked the game besides that!
