played for 30 minutes, the ascii art is very cute!
...but I wish the game were better!
the gameplay's super tedious. it's kinda impossible to die past a certain point if you're paying any attention, the enemies deal very little damage and aren't very threatening. also, there really aren't enough cosmetic changes to the player character; I thought that'd be the main appeal to a game like this, but the player character looked basically the same from minute 0 to minute 28. more sprites that look more distinct would add a lot of value to this!
this game could be a lot cooler with a faster pace and more art. I hope you keep working on this and improve it, I think it has potential!
