To comment further on Luigi Mode oddities: in Super Mario Bros. 1 bonus areas (I assume both of them, I've only found a Lost Levels one so far) it still shows Mario's background face graphic, but with Luigi's palette. There was a paratroopa at the end of one of the World 3 levels in Lost Levels that switched from red (vertical) to green after I stomped it. I can corroborate Luigi using Mario's fire palette in SMB3 - just not on the overworld. Speaking of the overworld, I noticed something odd.

My seed: b00b

My options: Every game other than SMW, no LL level limit, unified SMW physics, Match World on, Randomize SMB2U character off, Luigi mode on, skip SMB1 title cards on.

I played every level and beat every overworld Hammer Bro, Boomerang Bro, and Fire Bro up to world 3. I didn't take any pipes, and the coin ship showed up before the path split between levels 3-4 and 3-5. I went on the ship and got every coin. Then I went to the Mushroom House, since the bridges were down. Finally, I was going to go to level 4, but I went to level 6 instead, which turned out to be SMB2U 3-2. I beat it like normal, and when I got back to the overworld map, the world 3 bridges started dancing like they were meant to be animated the entire time! They were still only solid/path tiles where they were supposed to be, but they're dancing. Dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/luatroibcmgyfrs2w0qa4/glitched-overworld-state.st...

As for code edits I'd want you to put in, I'm definitely a big proponent of MSU-1 audio. There definitely aren't enough track listings to allow giving each level its own custom audio track, but if we could give each level type a specific one, on a per-game basis (meaning track set 1 would have every level type from SMB1 - overworld, underground, bonus, water, and castle - track set 2 would have every level type from Lost Levels, track set 3 would be SMB2, set 4 is SMB3, and set 5 is SMW - each set would be however many tracks there are level types for, or individual music tracks, or what have you) then I'd quite enjoy that.

More than that, though, I'd want you to put the physics and graphics from one game in the levels from another. I understand that's exponentially more difficult, but it's what I was excited about when I learned this existed. Just getting proper SMW physics in other games is already a blessing - the worst thing about SMB3 was its water physics, so it's finally a playable game now! Jokes aside, you're doing what we all should've done to SMB3 a long time ago.

Thank you for your work so far, and I hope you continue it into the future.

Hey there. Thanks for the info. Truthfully I've known about the world 3 bridge thing which I'm pretty sure has been an issue since the initial release, but it was one of those things that never became a high enough priority to dig into. Luigi mode has not been my best work, I need to put more effort into that too.

I burned myself out a bit on All-Stars and stepped away for other projects for a little while, but I'll definitely return to it. For now, here's a tidbit about putting physics and graphics from one game to another
