This combination lock is so hard… One issue is that I can interact with the sign from any direction, but:

A.k.a the shape of the earth, I assume it's supposed to be read in the proper way, with Brill facing it, and the tiles on the ground are probably Diamond(s)...

IAON… I is 9th letter, A is 1st, O is 0, and N is ???? Maybe 9 for Nine??

But that’s not within every letter, though. And every letter should be flawed in some way? And nothing implies that letter case should matter…

It is a tricky one. Here's a hint (not sure how you do the dropdown arrow things so I'm just going to add a bunch of newlines):

"below your feet" is referring to the downstairs areas you can already access.

Oh, yeah, I never would’ve figured that out. I thought it was more direct, like:

Eefreet or Djinn etc,

Wait… Where’s the Formidos’ Blight Infliction coming from? That’s not listed on their Check stats?

The flaws are the monsters inside. Assuming Worm is 1 and Lurker is 7. I was just punching in combinations by having it as 8, but went looking at its leg count more precisely.

Or maybe it’s just 1 for Yes Obvious Monster and 0 for no obvious monster? Observe… Count the eyes??

Oh, or the cracked tiles…?

I don't see any blight infliction on any of the Formido's attacks. Do you have the Warped Chainshirt equipped? It might be the deferred damage.

EDIT: Ooh, didn’t know that the Cestus gave a Counter, not an action. That makes it much more useful! Maybe indicate in description?

Not sure Warped Chainshirt works right with Friend Defender, but Formidos aren’t the best testing enemy.

Not blocking, I took 63 damage from a Death Stroke, then have a 66 damage Warping?

And blocking, I take double 28 damage?

…Really think Friend Defender is slightly broken, dealing double damage at some points?

Yeah, the Warped Chainshirt was the only reason I stuck around / save-trapped myself to face the Formidos. That would make sense as what I’m seeing, if that uses the purple-colored icon.

Barbaric Blow has an unstated Block Removal feature? Heck, the boss did nothing else.

Bestiary implied there was something up. Nice final cutcene music! heee

Okay, big problem? I just beat the Formido mob guarding the Warped Chainshirt, and then it immediately revived and attacked me again? Well, this is an interesting way to lose Astra’s help, but eh.

And can Aida even survive a Death Stroke without external help? She has 105 HP, but takes 114 even when the Death Stroke is blocked? I guess that’s really a sign to run. heh.

And trying for a second green chest. Should these enemies be able to see me through walls? Well, just need to place myself better. Got the thing!

A few corners of the maze walls aren’t filled in, but to the third “demonic castle” level! And that second floor has its stairs up vs. down graphics switched? Or freaky space distortion heh?

And that mass of Images, I accidentally managed to lock it in where I was sealed in by Formoidos in a previous saveline!

Threw Holy Water at the boss, dealt 2 damage. The flame pillar that I assume is the shield, is still up, and so is the round icons that I assume is its icon. … And that shield can’t block Star Burst? Or something. Either that or Overload was good enough to deal over 170+ with the shield up with only like 30 Starforce?…

Shoot, I did forget the "Erase Event" on Formidos. Will get a patch out for that ASAP. (FOEs from Etrian Odyssey do go away when they're defeated, and they're the direct inspiration for the Formidos, so it'd be odd if they didn't.)

The boss's AI skips its Fire attacks against Brill if she's Fire-resistant enough, and also skips against Aida if Brill has the Friend Defender effect. I did forget that Barbaric Blow lowers Block, I'll add that to the Check data real fast.

Holy Water doesn't produce a bright light, but it does deal bonus damage against the boss.
