AI Tools Used
Claude (Anthropic) — used for essentially all of it: the game design, all the JavaScript (the visibility-polygon shadow solver, the fixed-timestep loop, the WebAudio synth), the store text, and the cover art, which is not a generated image but a purpose-composed scene rendered by the game's own canvas shadow renderer with the lettering typeset over it.
No image, audio or video generation model was used anywhere. There are zero asset files in the build — all 51 KB of it is code, so every visual is drawn at runtime and every sound is synthesised from oscillators and filtered noise.
Balance was tuned against measurements rather than vibes: an instrumented autoplayer ran the game headlessly, and two real bugs came out of it. Burn fell off as heat-squared while lit enemies were slowed to a crawl, so the light was pinning them exactly where it could not hurt them; and once that was fixed a plain dodging bot survived the full test cap three times out of three, which showed difficulty had stopped climbing.

Simple and easy to jump into, but still really thrilling. I had a lot of fun playing it!
Glad the pickup was painless. Getting someone playing inside ten seconds was the goal we cared about most and it's usually the part that goes wrong. Thrilling is a nicer word than we expected for something this small.
Thanks for actually playing it through.
It was creative and fun!
Thanks. We'd rather be odd than polished so creative is the word we were hoping someone would use.
Appreciate you taking the time on it.
Very original, I like it.
A cool idea that what you can see takes dot. No special attacks, just working around the existing obstacles. The simplicity of it is what makes it interesting.
very simple, very fun, very addictive
