I really love the visual aesthetic of the game! The gameplay reminded me of Spyro a bit! Definitely best played w a controller. Great work! 💗

Love the visuals and audio, but I find it difficult to navigate, especially for the camera part. But I had fun playing and the retro vibe is great !

Very cute visual style, well put together.  The gameplay itself is a bit rustic, but it suits the overall style very well. Nice job!

Cutesy idea of having a girl who kisses people on a magical girl outfit.

It would have been fun to be able to walk a bit faster.

love the retro aesthetic so much, and that vanity plate is soooo good hahahaha

very cute game :D

Developer

Haha, thank you! The logo was the one thing made before the jam, but it fit so well with the aesthetic that I couldn't not use it!

I love the visuals and vibe you created, and it works nicely with a controller! I agree with the other commenter about a sprint - it would have felt good to move around faster since the environment is quite samey. I really liked the models for the friends too, really cute!

Thank you very much! I wish I had more time to make them more distinct and have different animations, but I'm glad you still liked them!

Love the retro vibe, you captured it really well! Cool to see a 3D platformer in the jam, imagine it takes a lot of work. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you very much! I tried making a 3D platformer for a game jam a while back and lemme tell ya, it goes a lot smoother if you aren't also learning how to use Godot at the same time.

It's soo charming, very nostalgic and wholesome. The resolution didn't quite fit my screen, but I was able to play it anyways.

Developer

Oh dear, I'm sorry for the resolution bug, but thank you nonetheless for playing it still! I'm glad I was able to capture that nostalgic 90s feel!

Loved this! Got all 3 kisses <3. Only thing i would have loved was a sensitivity option for the camera controls. Otherwise, great job!

Developer

Thank you very much! I'd like to release a more complete version one day, so I'll definitely keep camera sensitivity in mind!

Awesome submission. I got all the collectables and all 3 kisses! I didn't get a confirmation screen or anything, so I am not sure if I missed anything. The jump and double jump are awesome, but I feel like the game really lacked a sprint since it is kind of slow to move around without it. Overall, great job!

Edit: Also, I played it using my PlayStation controller. The keyboard controls are there, but you really need a controller if you want to have a smooth experience.

Thank you very much! I ran out of time and couldn't implement a win screen, unfortunately, but congrats on getting all the kisses! I sprint might have helped, but really I fell victim to the all too common pitfall of simply making levels too large for how much content there was.

Very cute idea! Love the dedication to the art style and retro visuals! Definitely captured that early PS1 or N64 vibes!

The platforming is solid, but not terribly interesting, and I guess the hearts were just collectables? I only got one kiss and the complete outfit, and then I couldn't figure out where to go from there.

Still, a solid entry! Well done!

(Note: Web version didn't work for me, it only showed the top left corner of the game, like the game was full size, but the iframe was a quarter of the size. Also moving the camera on the windows version lagged a bunch until suddenly it didn't. Maybe it needed to preload a lot of things?)

Thank you very much! I had originally planned for 3 levels that kept track of everything the player collected, but ended up not being able to work on it as much as I had hoped, so the hearts ended up being for nothing. I'll have to look into the web version some more, browser games are truly mysterious!
