THE RULES HAVE CHANGED.
It started with a passport.
A citizen. A form. Six signatures.
Simple enough.
Then Civic Nightmare started changing.
The dialogue wasn't enough anymore.
The satire had to move.
It had to react.
It had to fight back.
So the bureaucracy became playable.
THE ROAD IS PART OF THE PROCEDURE.
Doors don't simply open.
Rules mutate while you're following them.
Systems become machines.
Machines become games.
And sometimes the game itself decides it would rather become something else entirely.
You may understand the rules.
That does not mean the rules will still exist when you win.
You may complete the procedure.
That does not mean the procedure considers itself complete.
And while you're trying to survive all of this...
something else is happening quietly in the background.
THE SYSTEM IS WATCHING HOW YOU PLAY.
Not what you were supposed to do.
Not what the interface expected.
What you actually did.
Your choices.
Your detours.
Your contradictions.
Your curiosity.
Even discovering what the system has recorded about you can become part of the record.
CIVIC NIGHTMARE 2.0 IS BUILT AROUND ONE IDEA:
Satire shouldn't just be something you read. It should happen to you.
The world is bigger.
The mechanics are stranger.
The visual identity has changed.
The game refuses to stay in one genre for very long.
And I'm still pushing it further.
