I'd avoid the internal fastloader. If you stick to kernal calls then SD2IEC, CMD-HD's, Ramlinks, KFF etc.. can all work.. Use an internal fastloader and you're limited to 1541's etc.. At this point pretty much everyone has some sort of fastloader either cart or jiffydos and is using some sort of SD card thingy etc..
