This is cool. I like the dog character. I do have some minor suggestions that maybe you already considered, but didn't have time to add, since there was a decent attempt at polish in this game:
I had fun playing the game! The sounds were amazing, and it was really cute and well made, especially considering it was made by kids , thatโs really awesome! Keep it up!
We love that kids were involved in this process -- it's such a cute game! Very enjoyable and simple. We enjoyed this game alot :)
๐ถ๐ THIS IS SUCH A CUTE LITTLE GAME!
I really enjoyed the retro-style platforming and pixel art — the dog is adorable ๐ and the whole game has that classic early-platformer feeling. For only 10 hours, this is honestly a really nice achievement, especially since it was made by the kids! ๐
I also really like how the stargazing is the reward at the end. Reaching the roof and finally finding your friend under the stars gives the game a really wholesome ending. ๐โค๏ธ
If you keep developing it, Iโd love to see more sound effects, especially dog barks, and maybe let the player attack while moving to make the platforming/combat feel smoother. A few more lives or checkpoints could help too.
Huge congratulations to Everett, Ragnar, West and Ella! You guys did a great job! ๐
And if you have some free time, please play my game too and leave me a review! ๐โค๏ธ Iโd really appreciate it.
GG and keep making games! ๐พ๐ฎ๐
Pretty retro-feeling game and nice graphics!
Fun little game! Here are my thoughts after finishing the game.
Gameplay: Good platforming is difficult to make, but with some polish you'll get there. There were some technical glitches (jumping when moving up or down a slope didn't always work), and some design decisions that I would do differently (more than one life). As it is it reminded me of early 90s PC platformers :)
Graphics + audio: again- strong early 90s platformer vibe. Graphics were readable and the dog animation was cute :) As for the audio- background music was ok, but adding more sound effects (barks) would be nice.
Theme: I liked how you made the stargazing the reward of the game. Finding my friend at the top of the roof gave me a warm feeling :)
Over all- I had some fun with this one. Keep up the good work (and the kids too)!
Tell the kids they did an incredible job! The art and audio were very good and the platforming felt good.
Little nice platformer. One suggestion is being able to attack wihle moving cuz it was hard. Good job
Yea, the game isn't like anything I've played but it's fun in its own way, Great honestly
