As a creator, I feel that. As much as social media sucks, it is great for posting snippets of a WIP of any kind and getting feedback. I've found YouTube is pretty good as these things go, and people love seeing dev logs of all kinds of things! Patreon is also good for that, with the bonus that you can even get some money from it.
