Themes
When making a game for a jam, I always prioritize fun over adherence to the theme. That said, many of the themes actually cropped up in different ways. So I'll be sharing that here:

Biological Restrictions- Each sheep must adhere strictly to the arrow path the player had set up, even if the player was mistaken in how they directed the sheep. :)
You're Not Allowed to Win- The game follows a recursive game loop, in which each stage gets harder. No ending planned yet at least... except for death!
Gotta Go Fast- The presence of a timer constantly encourages the player onward.
Fugitive- The sheep must hide in safety from the creatures of the night.
Obey the Game Master- You, the game master, must direct the sheep. Ensure their safety!
Pattern Recognition- You gotta be able to recognize when the arrows line up!

That's the plan at least. I have a few more things to finish up before releasing my game to this jam. I'm just submitting early so that I don't submit too late!

Tooling
I used the undocumented 64x64 mode of PICO-8 for this game jam. PICO-8 is a game engine I've fallen in love with since starting game development, and one which I've wanted to make more games for. Seeing new entries pop up on it's SPLORE makes it feel like a community. So no, I'm very familiar, though the concept of finishing something is still new to me. :)

You got something done! And it makes me curious what the finished game would play like. Keep going!

Hey bro, I'm really sorry! I tried playing your game a few times, but I'm still not quite sure how the controls work or how to move around.

I think I beat the game ... I arranged the triangles and the blob in all possible permutations ;-)

Like the art style so far.

Would love to see how this plays when finished!

You got this, friend! There is still plenty of time to finish. I can't wait to see it!

I love the art style, and I'm glad you were able to finish something! I hope you finish this, and good job on it so far. Looking forward to seeing more from you!
