Good use of the theme ! I am not a huge fan of these types of game, but it's still fun to play sometimes. I love the fact that people are posting their own patterns. Good job !
It's great to see folks posting the patterns they made here! It'd be nice to see the ability to save out the config to reload later vs. just exporting the final image. It took me a bit to find the gallery as well so having that more accessible (or always visible) would be handy. I could see this turning into a tool folks use in future game jams for background textures!
This is a pretty neat idea, and, by how much layers this has, this becomes a perfect match for the theme.
I feel like the secondary pattern becomes a bit too detailed, the main pattern has a bigger resolution and somehow i felt it like two different resolutions at the same time, kind of similar to matching a 2x pixel art with a 3x pixel art, but, very pretty.
I liked that you can change colors too, like if you were using any app for drawing.
I see, then I need to remake the patterns with adjustable thickness, more layers to come, thanks for trying it!
Fun to play around with and I really liked the UI. Very cool interpretation of the theme as well!
Amazing entry! I had fun with figuring out the options, would be cool to know how it will evolve in the future!
And yes I know the colors I chose are jarring. I think it looks similar to Ukrainian embroidery, unintentionally...
Thanks, I'm still deciding whether to go the app route (asset making, I see a jewelry maker in my future) or game route (customize your clothes/room/town/the whole world), I entered the jam to discover what role suits me better, and app making is winning, but still want my own dress up/style savvy game eventually.
This is such a unique experience! I really enjoyed playing around with different designs. Great job!
Thanks, it worked out better than expected, even if a little rough on the edges.
This is a great take on the theme! You can create really cool designs with this, and it's a satisfying experience to play.
Glad you liked it, you can use your own images for the designs in the download version, plus I think adding a way to draw patterns in the app would be more fun.
Interesting tool!
wow, this is pretty incredible! my lace always turned out a little more random looking than the beautiful preview screenshots, maybe i need to fiddle around more to get to that level, haha. very fun!
Thank you, yeah, it's too easy to end with misaligned patterns, I think that "less is more" applies here, I had to keep it simple in the screenshots, probably the Vertical overlap will get the axe.
very original concept! i almost feel like a more gamified interface (kinda playful mario paint style maybe?) could've made it even better though :)
I agree, it just happened that my original jam project flopped and came up with this the last day, so only the bare minimum made it, but it's true that it doesn't feel very game-like right now.
oh sorry to hear that! glad you were able to turn it around and get something out so quickly though!
Thank you, I really wanted to have something done after a few other unfinished jams, and it worked well enough.
very creative concept, heres my lace!
This is such a create concept!
Thanks! I hope I can some add some more fun stuff later.
