Hello everyone!
We are looking for a 2D artist who can confidently draw the following things:
- Animations: frame-by-frame, both "traditional" and pixel art.
- Spritesheets: vertically arranged, six views spritesheet, only pixel art.
- (optional) Artworks: mainly for PR and fan service purposes, only "traditional" art.
The game project features heavily furry/feral NSFW content and, because of its wide range of kinks, artists must be comfortable with drawing in such environment.
More details about the game project can be found at the following link:
https://vesxel-studio.itch.io/vesxel-land-of-southern-lights-vxls-edition
The game project is long term (between 6 to 9 years) so we are searching for someone who can stick with us for the entire life-time of the project, if not more.
Payment is done through PayPal and calculated per individual work (or bundled with other works). As of now, we can offer:
- $12 per spritesheet.
- between $12 to $15 per animation.
- $15 to $20 per PR artwork.
In addition to that, we also offer our standard 2% RevShare (that is, $1 per 2 sales) as a way to provide an extra source of profit after the game's release. Of course, artists are able to request lower payment per work for a higher RevShare percentage for a maximum of 14% RevShare if they work for free, that is, $7 per 2 sales.
If you are interested in that offer, we have projected that our lowest estimate of copies sold will be around 300. So, in the worst case, 2% RevShare is $150 while a 14% RevShare is $1,050.
Of course, because additional content will be added after the game release, the RevShare percentage will apply to those sales as well. Ideally, we would like to keep this project up and updated for decades to come.
NOTES: Since the vast majority of the works require male/female and/or sfw/nsfw variants, variations are NOT counted as separate works as, with a good layer work, they only require toggling layers and nothing else. All prices are in US$.
Furthermore, because these values are percentages of the budget rather than hard values, payment increases as budget (i.e., funding) increases. So, you can treat them as a baseline rather than fixed payment that are kept until the end of the game project.
Of course, we are looking for artists who are genuinely interested in our game project. Bonus point if they do fanart or any other work on their own volition and for free. After all, the better their work is and the more publicity they do in addition to what we do already, the easier it will be to gather extra funding; thus, increasing their payment.
