Hey everyone!  I am Stephen, a character artist who's hoping to find a team for the Spooktober Game Jam.

I mainly work with traditional sketch art, pixel art, and photobashing.

My style mainly focuses on darker, imperfect sort of characters, and I primarily make horror style art. I am less proficient in background art but I can easily learn.

I have worked in jams before, and having been looking for an opportunity to make a full visual novel.

If you're interested in adding me to your team or gathering a team with me, contact me!

Hey Stephen! I saw your post here on the Spooktober jam board — your dark, imperfect character style really stood out to me, especially for horror.

I'm putting together a small team for a psychological horror visual novel for Spooktober. The story follows a death row prisoner sent on a solo space mission, who slowly realizes something horrifying is being hidden — including a mysterious being that keeps showing up asking to be let in. I think your style could be a great fit specifically for that character, since it needs to feel unsettling and 'off' in a way that's hard to nail with clean art.

A bit about the project: I'm handling story/characters and mainly working in pixel art myself, so background/environment art (something with a liminal, claustrophobic feel) is more of an open need on my end than character art — but your character work could be a great addition regardless.

One more thing worth mentioning: this isn't just a one-off jam project for me. I'm looking to keep developing this beyond the jam into something more ambitious, so if you're looking for that kind of longer-term opportunity too (which it sounds like you are!), this could be a good match.

Unfortunately my Discord account isn't logging in, so feel free to reach out here or via email if you'd like to chat more!
