Quite the unique concept for an ancestry you've made! The idea of community really shines in all of its features, and the included rival is a sweet love letter to Draw Steel's releases this past year.
As far as critiques go, Last Grasp feels more draining than collaborative. A rewrite to emphasize your allies putting themselves on the line with a title like We Stand Together! or something similar would emphasize the narrative I think you're looking for. Additionally, One With the Team is quite cool and I like the angle of it, but any ability that lets a player swap features around on a rest is going to be much stronger than just having one static feature. I'd consider shifting it to picking the ability when the party is established (encourage more player collaboration with the communal spirit, perhaps?)
This is a very strange (positive) yet very fun submission. I'll certainly take some notes from it.
As I said before, these remind me of aetherborn from MTG, and I love that! I dig the flavor of the ancestry traits and I LOVE the inclusion of the Draw Steel community rival, what a fun homage. One With the Team and Our Wish Embodied are both really fascinating ancestry traits, with one being determined by your party members and one having a built-in payoff/upgrade at some point. I hope we'll see more of that from other designers in the future. Neat stuff!
You had me going in the first half. Like, how is this in theme, then BAM! Second page of theme. A really interesting concept for a psionic/region spirit. Ancestry seems well balanced enough, but I am all about that Rival.
Rivals in the Monster book are one of my biggest disappointments since they don’t really feel like a PC. I had a lot of fun making a rival and coming up with abilities themed around the product releases.
This is a very unique idea, I've certainly never seen anything like this. The art is also very cool (though of course not one of the rating criteria).
Thanks!
So I love this idea. Minor suggestion: I think the wording on Last Grasp feels off. The mechanic is great, but maybe say something like, "a willing ally can use their vitality to heal you" so it sounds more like they're giving you the recovery and less like you're taking it? Feels more in the spirit of the thing.
Thanks! and good idea, i'll probably change that up in the next revision.
Great work Kormael! This is really fun, and in a way... heart warming? You definitely hit on the feeling of community that draw steel has.
My favorites: many helping hands and last grasp. They break game rules but not is a bad way, an interesting way.

This is a very unique and cool idea. The idea of the Nathari taking the abilities and traits from their home is great. It's a little weird for the Draw Steel Nathari to be our "rival", but I get the goal of it. I like how the different abilities all reference adventures that have been released.
I'd considered making Draw Steel a retainer instead. But what ultimately made me keep it a rival was that Draw Steel (the game) is all about combat. So if it was personified, it'd probably love to get in a fight with us (hopefully not to the death xD).
Kind of like Spren! Playing as a Scion Nathari would be the ultimate knight radiant move.
Journey before destination ;)
I love the idea of spirits of community that can rise up to protect their community! Very fun.
Thanks!
