Awesome flavor and I ADORE how each of these synergizes with the others in a cyclical manner. Top-tier combination of flavor and mechanics. My only real note is that I wish the synergies were, maybe, more multidirectional? I see how Spring sets up Summer with fire weakness, and Autumn sets up Winter with difficult terrain, but Summer > Autumn and Winter > Spring aren't as clear to me; it feels like Winter also sets up Autumn and Spring just sort of helps them all out. I think it would be cool, albeit much harder to design, if they all had little ways that tied into each other, so that you don't get locked into the same play patterns every round. But, they definitely work and are super fun and flavorful, and I'll echo loving the ability names. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I wish I could have found more direct ways to have them continue the cycle but Summer by its nature ended up something of the cycle "finisher" and I couldn't find a good way to make Winter or Spring's synergies be focused more on their following seasons without explicitly making their abilities explicitly name the next one which I wanted to avoid.  I did try to make Spring more useful to Summer beyond just the fire weakness (I thought Sun would benefit from the movement bonuses the most, due to fighting in close range and having the range 2 bonus on the Signature).

I also submitted with seasons as a theme! I love the art, I love the writing and the abilities, these monsters seem really fun to run. Great work!

As another seasonal submitter, I love your own take on the theme! The art is fantastic, the stat blocks are flavorful, and the synergies mean using 2, 3, or all 4 of these seasonal elementals is all the more incredible!

Excellent batch of monsters! Each one's narratively and mechanically solid by itself, but the synergy between them will be a proper tactical menace for players in the hands of a skilled director. Well done.

Ok these are some of my favorite monsters in this jam so far, great job.

These are great. Real Final Fantasy Boss Vibes to them. I'd use them to intro a 2nd Echelon story arc.

As covered by others, the art is great fun too.

I will absolutely be using these.

I really enjoy how well you interpreted each of the seasons in terms of DS enemy roles as well as the beautifully poetic ability names!

Totally needed for a future encounter I had planned. Great designs!

Not included in my ranking, but: the art/layout is fantastic! :D
