FYI for everyone working with pixel artist - this extremely unprofessional artist attempted to swindle me after taking a commission that he claimed to be able to meet the quality requirements for (in post CLEARLY) and then blamed it on his "artistic limitations" when I confronted him about the errors in his work, mainly the Malformed, half chopped Face - which he did 2 days of work on and gave me the face back UNCHANGED. After 2 days or arguing with him about the quality of his work and the invisible revision, this artist here says: ""I was honest, I did my best and I honestly thought I could do the job, I don't even think the Blasphemous character is that much better, is just a different style, has more colors and is standing in a different position."" and in the hiring process he states:
"""but if you really want a high detailed game (even more detailed than blasphemous), we could go for 70px tall"" then after repeated attempts to get his to correct the malformed face, he says: ""yes, the problem is that I honestly don't know exactly what I can do here to make it work for you, in my opinion the face is already readable, I don't know if you're aware I only have a few pixels here to work with and it's not possible to create something ''HD'' with pixel art if you know what I mean.. I was pretty happy with the result I got, and I think this last version after I made some adjustments you pointed out was the best version.. so I don't know what I can do to make it better. I would proudly use this character in my portfolio and I'll probably add there later... But I don't know how to make him look even better."" even further: "my guess is you have never worked with other freelancer artist before because that's just not an efficient way of doing things.. you can just say you didn't like it and move on too... you should try with other artist and see the kind of results you'll get"" all of this because I wanted him to fix the MALFORMED FACE that he supposedly spent 2 days working on. Extremely unprofessional.
even after repeated screening attempts by me on itch post AND discord chat " Me - my quality reference was Blasphemous, for details. do you think you can get to that level of detail? Curse - Yes, for sure!
