I'll have to try this on phone later because it didn't work for me on computer (the drag input in the first scene wouldn't do anything). But I did already get to hear the piano and I think the original music is GREAT!

Ahaha, thanks! Should’ve added a bit more visual feedback while walking in the dark but it should take about 1 minute for the whole walk in the dark sequence 😭. There’s dialogue too mid-walk to break the ice every once in a while as a substitute for visual feedbck. Anyway thanks for your feedback!

Nice entry :) Somehow I could not get to go longer than clicking "Next" once (after second button push, so after the outside/park'y scene, the screen remained black, I don't know if it has anything to do with my phone having no charge left... I was plying on Windows PC btw). There was an error in browser's console too, below the print with chapter number and other debug stuff:

ERROR: Can't change to a null scene. Use unload_current_scene() if you wish to unload it. index.js:467:18
   at: change_scene_to_packed (scene\main\scene_tree.cpp:1688)

I generally liked it, the Chloe's visuals were a bit strange to look at (due to different visual style than the background), but who am I to judge when I was barely able to make 2 sprites for my game as well :P It was surprising at first, but other than that it made her nicely distinguish from the background. The story (at least to the point I played) was engaging, it was a nice visual novel with nice audio. I had fun :)

Thanks alot for the technical feedback!!! I think it has something to do with me forgetting to patch the next scene because of a rushed ending development 😢 I’ll look into it to be able to fix it.

I’m really glad you were able to enjoy and play the game too! Thanks haha!

Holy peak, how did you do all of that in 9 days ??? Peak game peak soundtrack peak writing y'all need to continue this game.

Developer

Aha, it took a lot of late nights, and a little bit of hopes and dreams 🥲. As for the soundtrack, they’re mostly piano covers of songs and pieces we already produced. Thanks haha! Glad you enjoyed it ^^.

Oh my God, please, I need you to continue with this project after the jam, this story looks really, really good. Visually it's simple but it fits perfectly, and the choice of a vertical screen it's ideal. THE SOUNDTRACK IS INCREDIBLE, YOU'VE DONE A GREAT JOB!!  Congrats for the game!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much 😭, thanks for playing and we're glad you've enjoyed it haha! We'll do our best to finish it post-jam too ^^.

Fantastic story, the characters felt very human and I was getting very invested in the story.  Absolutely crazy that you were able to come up with all of this within the space of a jam.  Great work!

Developer

I'm really glad you enjoyed it haha ^^, thanks alot for playing!

Cool concept and music is beautiful. I’m a bit confused about the syncing slider at the beginning, what was the purpose of it?

Developer(+1)

Thanks haha, the music slider was for an interactive piano cutscene and for syncing the music properly on web, cause audio drifts by ALOT on html5 exports. Anyway, thanks for playing!

I was hooked by the story, I loved the music. I'll be waiting for more!!
