I am enjoying this indeed relatively short & sweet project. I have only two things which I found strange in the fourth part, though I cannot tell if they were minor editorial oversights or actually intentional:
1. During Bernard's recounting of his wife and her story, the name in the dialogue box for a substantial portion of it changes inexplicably to Russell (while retaining Bernard's yellow-orange name colour), but then changes back to Bernard abruptly before the story is done.
2. While the name 'Babylonian Sands' and the recounted history of Woorugera clearly pull from that real-world ancient Near-Eastern region, I was very confused to suddenly find Anubis name-dropped and see visual iconography depicting the Egyptian weighing of the heart scene. I understand the relevance/foreshadowing of the 'weighing of the heart' symbolism that is being drawn-upon, but in the larger context that it is being presented in, it appears as if the narrative is conflating two entirely unrelated ancient cultures without any comment. To address this in the narrative without overhauling any artwork or textual revision, even the addition of a simple line from the character saying 'Yeah, I'm just holding down the fort while Ereshkigal is out on vacation' or something to that effect would make this incongruence much less jarring.
If there are plans for a further polished version and these minor fixes are able to be incorporated, then that is fine, and if this project will remain as-is so that energy can be reserved for newer endeavours, then that is also fine. I just wanted to make them known. Other than that, I have found this delightful to read, and I look forward to what is next on the horizon with your works.
