Awesome stuff, can totally see designing a quest or adventure about assembling these four items to defeat some kind of omniseasonal boss. With seasonal phases! My only big note is that the 5th-level benefit of Floebreakers adds a lot to track and remember, and since it's a maneuver that costs you nothing to use, it feels worth simplifying.

An excellent batch of treasures! All very unique and well designed. They feel straight out of the Heroes book.

The single piece of critical feedback I have is that Summer's Canticle having a temp stam features feels a bit odd when its the main gimmick of Blooming Shillelagh. Works perfectly fine as its own item, but doesn't seem right when part of the set, if that makes sense.

Otherwise, I've got a Green Elementalist seeking out a powerful staff in my campaign—and I know just what to give her now. Thanks for the loot!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words and the feedback, I hope your player has fun!

For summer’s canticle, I wanted to get across the dual idea of the summer sun able to be warm and nourishing or unforgivably hot. Your comment made me think of new ways to give it a support feature without it being temp Stamina, which will definitely go into the next edit!

You definitely evoked the ideals of summer well in how you'd initially designed the canticle! It's a well thought-up item, I just got snagged on the mechanical similarity to the other nourishing season's treasure.

Glad to have sparked new items! Looking forward to seeing how this evolves.

From one seasonal-themed submitter to another; I love this entry! The Masque of Reaping may be my favorite.

I love the Masque of Reaping. I feel I'd want the Blooming Shilleleagh to have more of a 'global'/whole battlefield effect throughout, it being a spring rain, but balance for that would be difficult.

Beautifully presented. Where did you get/what software did you use, to make your borders?

A global effect is an interesting idea, and a unique challenge to design for. Definitely will keep that in mind for the future!

Thank you for the kind words regarding the layout! I am no graphic designer, I had to learn how to make all this layout from scratch, so that compliment means so much. I used Affinity for the layout using some templates from DriveThruRPG, some gradients and texture brushes for the page aging. For the borders elements, I created some overlapping shapes in the Affinity vector studio, created a brush with that element, and used the pen tool with that brush selected to trace along the outside. Here's a video I used to get me like 90% of the way there, though the way I created the initial shape was different.

I really enjoyed this entry, the items are very nice and flavorful! I may place one of them in the elemental treasure vault my players will be getting to next session :)

Developer

Thank you, that's very kind!

I did in fact decide to go with the Floebreakers! :D

This is really well done! These are solid and very powerful magic items with nice flavor. I could see a fun campaign-wide quest to gather all four antiquities to defeat some fallen celestial trying to undo the laws of time.

I'm not super well studied on the divine lore of Orden, so I honestly found the first section pretty hard to follow. That isn't necessarily a bad thing if you're intending for it to be a more cryptic passage that rewards those with greater setting knowledge. But just thought it was worth noting as someone that has skimmed the mythos but isn't in very deep, it was a bit confusing.

Another minor note, I think the Floebreakers would have the "unarmed" keyword. If they're meant to be weapons (which the ability text describes them as) they would need that tag to fit into certain kits. You might also want to add the "head" keyword to the masque of the reaping, unless it isn't meant to be worn? If not, it might be worth describing as a totem or something.

Not a factor in the jam rating, but I also really like the layout on this! The background and borders are a nice touch that make the end product look more put together. Good typeface choices too, I think we use the same header font in our projects haha.

Developer

Thank you for all the kind words! All of this feedback is super valuable, and I will definitely make the edits to the keywords once the voting period ends :)

Also, the layout compliments mean so much. I am not a graphic designer and had to learn how to make all of these elements from scratch. I'm really glad it's being received so positively!

These are really good. Is the Shillelagh's cube within 1, or can it be cast at range?

Developer

good catch, that requires an edit!
