Thank you for taking the time to read and comment! I think a happy marriage I can try to shoot for is maybe having a hoverable UI so it keeps the cinematic 'not UI by default' but if you hover on a spot the UI shows so it's still usable! I also love the browser suggestion and thank you for giving me inspiration to make new versions :)

Yes for sure! For now I want to prioritize the hoverable UI in possibly one of the corners since I'm sloowly cleaning up the game chronologically and UI in my brain starts prior to the game, aha. 

That's a smart idea, that way your cinematic portrayal of the story can still flow while making sure the user can pinpoint their save!
