Discord Community that supports the Jam

There won't be a jam-specific Discord available, therefore I wanted to extend an invitation to anyone participating in the game jam who'd like a place to connect with other developers.  We hosted a discord last year as well, and had a lot of cool people join for the Falling Block Jam 2025!

Come join us over at GameDevShift Discord! Whether you're looking to share progress, bounce around ideas, get feedback, find motivation, or just hang out during the jam, everyone is welcome.

Solo devs, teams, and anyone following along—hope to see you there! 馃幃

Another option for anyone looking for a game engine for the jam: ExcaliburJS!  I used it last year for the 2025 Falling Block Jam!

It's an easy-to-use TypeScript 2D game engine built for the web, making it a great option if you want to jump in and start building without a lot of engine overhead.

Check it out: ExcaliburJS   and it has its own discord: https://discord.gg/N7dQ2FeCqK

Definitely worth considering for your jam project! 馃幃

i'm not sure if i'll participate this year but was grateful for Mookie's offer to create a discord home @ GameDevShift for some of us last year which, thanks to them, made the Jam even more enjoyable as we shared ideas, playtested and chatted about each other's submissions throughout.

the server, otherwise, houses a small group of creative, like-minded devs who regularly share their projects, insights & resources, and has stayed on my regular rotation since. so, for what it's worth, i can only suggest that you take Mookie up on the offer while wishing you all the best during this year's Falling Block Jam!
