I was able to complete the game with or without collecting the 5 red triangles- when you collect them there is some Japanese text and I'm not sure what it does, anyone know?
honestly, I have no idea how that helps with beating the game! Maybe I figured something out by trial and error that was supposed to be gated by the hint
Without spoiling it too much, they give hints about the abilities (and some lore). I was very much stuck until I realised I could speak to all of them.
