Getting the chaos emerald and Time Over at the same time in special stages will make the game behave bizarrely.
Was gonna report the same bug, upon it happening the lags*, having the text box slowly rise up, and boot you back to the title screen as if it were to be your last life (since lives aren’t in the hud, only the timer and rings)
*or at least slows down a bunch
