Love to see playing cards used in a TTRPG! There's obviously a strong Forbidden Island influence, which works really well with the theme / title. Although it is harder than FI because you have to find the aces specifically - so might end up being pretty lethal! I found the backstory a bit confusing - the relics are described as stolen (which is why the city is being flooded) - but the descriptions of the gods / relics / guardians talk about them being given away by the deities in question? In general I think there needs to be a bit more on that initial theft, who took the relics and where to, et c. Otherwise though this is really cool!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! 😊 I'm not actually familiar with Forbidden Island, but I'll give it a look! 👍 Ah that is a really good catch, I did have a draft which discusses who stole it, but I must have accidentally cut out the references to it.

I'll add  the text that discusses it back in once the Jam is done, but my intention was the zealot cells that align with Lassimer stile the relics, then cast them into the basin below the city, where then the guardians formed independently from them afterwards as extant beings, but I'll be sure to expand and clarify that when I update it.

Ah that is cool backstory and makes a lot of sense, thanks for explaining! That's amazing that you don't know Forbidden Island - it has you retrieving four treasures from a slowly-flooding island, where the main mechanic is drawing cards as you explore different areas, with a flood counter that shows how far the waters have risen - I guess this is just what makes sense if you're describing a flood in game terms!

That does sound similar (and cool) I'll give it a look!
