Love the names and flavor here, and some fun unique mechanical twists too! 6 Malice for doubling up an elite or leader's turn on the Reverser seems like quite a lot, and as much as I love the Cententinel, I'm not sure how fair it is? Two others mentioned the Curse of Immortality complication, but let's not forget this game has 3000-year-old elves, too! Still, awesome stuff all around, very fun monsters, would love to throw these at my heroes in the wode.

Thanks, the whole submission came out of a couple of names. After I thought of weekling as a time-based minion name it was basically impossible for me to brainstorm anything else for the jam.

That Reverser ability is probably the thing that I spent the most time debating what the cost and limitations should be. Since a big part of the way I envision momentad are as more or less hired guns following other fey so I didn't want to limit it to not let them aid their leaders. In the end I just picked an amount of malice that felt like it was a cost to use for powerful allies but not too much of a cost if the momentad are being used with less powerful creatures. I think if I had more space (and maybe some knowledge from testing) I would make using it on more powerful allies cost more.

And then the Cententinel extreme deadliness feels like an edge case to me. I mean I'd defer to people with more experience actually running and playing but I don't know how prevelent in play that one complication is out of the core hundred or how many people are playing elves or dwarves near the end of their lives. Since most ancestries can't even hit a century and the ones that can I would imagine are only being played as 2 or 3 centuries old I figured realistically it's providing a couple of extra squares on average. But I do very much enjoy the visual of this one little fey unintentionally turning a very long lived creature into a splatter on the other side of the wode.

I knew we had something good here the moment I saw 'Doldrum'. Excellent wordplay for all the monsters and their ability names with solid abilities throughout. Shaking a Cententinel at my Curse of Immortality player so I can enjoy their screams.

This has become an unexpected favorite (I normally don't care for fey creatures in my games... but I daresay my whimsy has been sparked). Fantastic work.

Full marks on theme just for the Anniv Ursare.  Excellent wordplay all around.

One note: reading the Cententinel, I couldn't help but think of the poor player running the Curse of Immortality complication who gets instantly pasted by a push 67 from a level one horde critter.

That is a hilarious visual, what a monkey's paw way for an immortal to die of old age

Yeah, extra marks for Anniv Ursare!

Really found this one interesting. A good class of monster to throw at a lower level party looking to assist the Fey. Good work.

I really enjoyed the lore of these guys, and how they interact with other fey. I also really liked the names, I can tell that you had fun coming up with them! :)

Developer(+1)

I absolutely did, the whole idea came out of the weekling = minion and centennial/sentinel = defender puns and then I just kept coming up with names

These are really well done! I like the idea that these are kinda like a wode's immune system against law, these little creatures that cause chaos to maintain the wode's boundaries. It's also a surprisingly well thought out monster squad for being built on puns lol.

The abilities on these guys are well designed, and tie nicely to their names. I wish we had more descriptions of what each looks like, but I can see that it's already pushing the two-page limit so it makes sense that a brief note up top is all we get.

Developer

Thanks! I hadn't imagined them as the wode's immune system but that's such a cool idea of the function they could serve.

Their visuals are one of the things I really wish I had more space to expand on but between struggling to nail down a coherent description and wanting to include as many statblocks as I could fit it was the easiest thing to leave out. In my mind their appearance is very malleable. I think when they first manifest they are maybe just formless beings that look like dark clouds or the night sky but the influence of the wode eventually lets them take on a more general fey/humanoid shape, closest reference is maybe the dnd quickling art. Doldrums in my mind look sort of like the rock trolls from frozen but still with that cloudy/starry sky texture and the anniv ursare is the same but in the form of a bear, the rest I don't have a strong visual image for. And then when they join up with some other type of fey they start to take on aspects of their appearance like the wode elf fur and ears or the high elf metal filigree patterns.
