The parallax effect is cool. I think there should be checkpoints, it's really punishing to restart from the beginning but maybe that's the charm of it as well. I would have liked for the attack animation to override the jump. Right now when I jump and immediately attack it finished the jump animation first then attack.

Nice platforme, the jump feels good. I think hit boxes could be a bit smaller to make it feel more "fair" when you die. And having to redo all over again when you die is a bit hard.
Good job :)

And yeah there is something wrong with the parallax, I agree it's probably reversed

Loved the slashing animation, and overall art quality is very high. Instead of clicking to slash, a keypress to slash would've been appreciated. Also, if there was supposed to be music,/audio, I didn't hear anything. Good work!

Check out my game if you get a chance😊.

Thank you for your kind response, I didnt add any sound because I thought the game jam will end after 30 minutes and was short on time, but after submitting discovered there was still 1 full day :)

We almost made that same mistake. Very funny, you're not alone.

Congrats on your game ! :)

Two ideas for axes of improvement :
- With pixel art, it's generally a good idea to keep pixel size consistent across sprites
- Also your parallax is reversed I think
