since this game is inspired by the game boy era, the levels themselves don't have more than 4 colors in them with the tilesets. I would think going forward I would use different 4 colored palettes to make new level themes, and introduce new mechanics in them. Already is implemented in the current game, with dungeon levels using pushable boxes, and cloud levels introducing the 'hop off' mechanic. (besides the 2 tutorial levels.)

btw I think your game is the best I've played in this jam so far
