It's way harder than the original,i played the x86 Z Gloom version, its much closer to the original than this, and you can have unlimited ammo and auto fire.

I ran out of ammo on level 2,why is that a thing?,the audio sounds like it's been over compressed, the vsync if left on hammers the gpu,the set up menus are confused and interfere with each other.

wasd is a pet hate of pet hates for me,i had to tell it to use the cursor keys, the control for the game pad didn't work, only moving no firing.

You've fiddled with the layouts of the levels and it looks weird so that feels like meddling, the torch didn't work, neither did the map,do i have to look for them?

There's an ugly crt filter over everything, the loading images looked over compressed, the screen resolutions just pull the aspect into over stretched on full screen.

The ammo is no longer bouncing on corners,it's a pickup now,not a good thing to run out and have to go looking for it.

Feels like a port no one asked for that is too hard and is not nice to configure play or look at.

That's some valid criticism. It's not meant to be easy. There are some secret ammo to be found if you try secret hunting. It makes the game a lot easier on the final level. You have to understand as well that with this engine, unless you do a super deep dive, you're stuck with the limitations. I tried to do a few things to make it closer to the original but I dropped this version early for various different reasons. Sure, someone else's port may be better but this is a pseudo clone and not meant to be a thing more than a proof of concept. Think of it as an alpha state of gameplay.  I had become very busy as of late so much so as to not even be able to turn my computer on but once or twice a  month. That being said, thanks for playing. I'll keep these ideas in mind for whatever I try to release in a true finished state going forward.
