Did your team create most/all of the graphics yourselves?
All the graphics were created by me (GabriTell), using as the main tool "Aseprit". NO AI tool was involved in the production or design.
Did your team create most of/all the audio yourselves?
The music is still in production. If I have time to finish it, it will have been made by me with LMMS studios.
How did you incorporate the theme "UNSTABLE"?
In Unholdable, your main goal is to balance a set of unstable pulleys, whose instability increases as more weight is added.

Hey! So I played your game for a good while. I had a lot of unstable fun with this one.
There were a lot of little mechanics that I appreciated when trying to balance the pulleys. For example, the player's weight taking into account how many boxes you are carrying. It really helps when you've majorly screwed up, cause you can jump to one pulley, grab a few boxes off of there, and jump back to stand on the other to stop the acceleration! And the player having the weight of 3 boxes feels just right when trying to balance.
In terms of the controls, I had a lot of trouble adapting to the dash mechanics. Because you can only dash in a direction you weren't already moving when you jumped, I would often be trying to dash to the right and end up accidentally jumping to the right instead. The only dash pattern I could really get used to was to jump in one direction, dash up, and then dash in the direction I wanted. I feel like the dash could have been a little more intuitive. Otherwise, everything else about moving around felt nice and responsive :)
Having the drop mechanic be on the mouse is not necessarily bad, but I would have appreciated a single button for it on the keyboard. This project would benefit from not having to use a hand just for clicking, in my opinion.
I was only able to complete up to level 2, but I appreciated how each level deals with difficulty. Having the blocks start to drop onto the pulley itself is a great way to make the player focus on their reaction time!
The visuals look awesome, too! The player character walk cycle is so charming. Also, the screen wipe transition was a fun addition; it adds to the personality of the game quite well.
This project was really neat, and it deserves more recognition. Great stuff!
Thank you for your feedback! :) Regarding the dash, I made that can't dash on the direction you're moving to prevent (when already pressing the key in that direction) unintentional dashes (the mechanics I had in mind are the ones you mentioned: jump+up+left/right). It's true that it's not explained very well, mainly due to lack of time. ๐
Regarding the dropping box mechanic, I didn't explain it very well and it probably wasn't understood, but you actually aim where you throw the box to the mouse position (that's why I made it to be left click). Again, due to lack of time I didn't explain it well. ๐
I'm glad you liked it and that you managed to pass level 2 :) (tbh it was hard to beat even for me, who designed it). A pro-tip for level 3: focus on completing the large pulley first. Also, the pipes have a mechanic that I did't explain explicitly: if there are 5 boxes or more below the pipe, no more boxes drop from that pipe (keep that in mind when planning how to arrange them).
Played this for a few minutes, enjoyed the vibe.Simple, but it works well for what it's going for.Good luck with the jam!
Thanks! :)
I like it, the art is superb I WISH there is sounds the idea is unique but the player controller could def be better. overall nice entry
Thanks! :)
This game took me back to my Miniclip days. Great job.
Interesting job. I liked the main menu, although there is not enough sound for the game. I also didn't like that when you press ESC, it throws you to the main menu, but the pause menu doesn't open. You've played the subject well. Good luck in future projects)
Thanks! :) The Esc thing and the lack of sound was a matter of lack of time. If I continue to update the game in the future, I will make a pause interface (among other things).
Really clever physics puzzle concept! Its super satisfying to figure out. Great execution of the theme and adorable visual style! (Rated)
Thanks! :) I'm glad you enjoyed it.
You're welcome! Feel free to give my game a try whenever you have a free moment, I'd really appreciate your feedback!
Sure! ๐
Very good game!
Thanks! :)

What do you mean? ๐ Did you have any trouble to open the game?
it just woudnt open i have no clue why .it showed your game logo with a red ! then closed
Are you playing on Windows? ๐ If so, how did you run the game? Remember that the executable can't be separated from the rest of the files, my recommendation is that you open the game directly from the zip file. Let me know if it works! ๐
ya thats what i did i am on windows too tell other people too play it to see if they have the same issue maybe its just me\
Okay ๐ thanks for letting me know! :)
Also, try to download again, perhaps it's been a problem with the download.
