Gonna be fr, this is just blatantly unfun. While the rest of the game has been challenging yet fun so far, the ice gym and frosslass are just entirely unfun and annoying to beat. I have maxxed out my pokemon with fairly competitive loadouts, full items, and min maxed stats, and yet the blatantly skewed RNG combined with the enemy pokemon having genuinely godlike stats makes this the biggest pain in the ass humanly possible.
This isn't a case like dark souls where it is entirely skill issue based. In a turn based SINGLE PLAYER game that relies on nothing but RNG, forcibly making it so said RNG favors the enemy is just not a good idea. It leads to extremely frustrating and unfun gameplay that will kill any momentum this game may have given the player. Especially since you are unable to evolve any of the unique mons to make them powerful enough to deal with the bullshit the game throws your way.
If you WERE able to evolve them, sure, this might be a different story, but it isnt.
And something else of note, Im not a casual pokemon player. I know a very worrying amount of stuff that helps make basically any regular pokemon game a cakewalk. And if I'm having trouble with this, what do you think the people who just wanna play a decent porno game with pokemon battling mixed in are gonna feel? Cuz the answer is they're going to drop the game the second they realize it expects them to gamble for hours at a time hoping RNG works in their favor. Ive spent literally 10 hours doing this nonsense.
Please. PLEASE. Fix this. The potential for this game is so high.
