The theme can be seen as you use "Sun Points" to fight the shadow/night themed monsters, those points have a limited amount. Also you get a damage multiplier while the sun is up. So when the sun is down (you run out of sunlight) the damage multiplier is gone.
If we had more time, there would have been more enemies to make the game longer for sure!!
