sorry for the yap ses
As someone who played through a LOT of choice-based games (not necessarily VN's, I played through many different games with choices having big impact! to people that enjoy making choices in VN's I really recommend expanding to non-vn games! :D) from my experience little choices actually do matter more than many would think! Even if it's just a slight dialogue expansion, it does make the characters somewhat more 'lively' and increases the playability. And those small choices usually would impact hidden relationship system where basically making a lot of good/bad choices will have an impact during major choices. However I understand that creating that isn't easy as it has to somehow still lead back towards the main story but I think it would be very nice for a paid DLC if you'd plan one in future! :] What I see some people do to avoid a basic dialogue expansion by 1 or 2 sentences is those smaller-choices leading to some lore information or activating mini-paths (paths not having a major meaning, however adding a little side-story before the end of the main segment/day). More choices without making it obvious of whether they impact something or not also make people think twice about what they wanna pick and those little side-stories build more connection to the players and characters which later makes endings more impactful than few choices where the player is AWARE it makes a change imo! It also makes it fun to find certain paths, try out different outcomes and so on. (and leaves room for QTE's which are hella nice to play through and usually unique) Of course that's just my opinion as the player, but I'd gladly pay for a story-expanding DLC in the future, so far I like all the characters and I think your VN is sitting somewhere in the top 3 I played. I think this is a bit too soon to ask, but just wondering if you have any other projects you'd like to create in future? ^^
