Starts with numbers that are so high they’re hard for a human to fathom, then brings it down to numbers in the west, still so high. Then right down to individuals – children - with names, all the way down to the age of 0. This breaks through the  desensitization of high numbers we hear in the news and forces focus on a single red square that is a life. No choices to exit, to interact with something else (ie. look away); the journey across a screen is at player’s pace, but destination inevitable. Music accompanies, doesn’t distract. Such a great use of binksi; a lot of elements here working so very well together. What a great jam entry done in one week omg!

Thank you so much for playing, and for such a thoughtful comment! Admittedly, this was made in an afternoon rather than the full week 🫣 But I think giving myself not long to make it helped stop the idea from morphing into more than it needed to be.

An afternoon?! It feels so well contained; yeah I can see how the tighter time constraint can help contain that scope.
