hey is there an option to adjust how much time you have for the counter spells

Yes! You can turn on easy mode in the settings which: 1) reduces the chance for both 4- and 5-length sequences from appearing, 2) increases the timer by around 20% for each difficult stage, and 3) adds a “successful” (not perfect) outcome that negates all damage but doesn’t grant the Kinesis aura stacks if you perform at least the first 3 inputs correctly. Easy mode affects a ton of other stuff too, obviously, but that’s how it impacts the spell counters.

if you arrive in ranbol before you do the first part of the nature arc you cant have lord casson vouch for you even if you dont complete the quest and choose a side

Right, if you don’t meet Casson and complete that quest, he won’t vouch for you. That’s what you’re saying, right? That seems logical to me and was intentional. You need to complete that quest before finishing the quest where you arrive in Ranbol for him to show up and become an option.

why is it so hard to gain cultivation to upgrade your mantras ive done them all the best i can and ive only received enough to upgrade 3 of my mantras

I intend to roll out more royale challenges. I will also probably add another sort of challenge mode where you can gain cultivation later. But that said, you’ll only be able to get so much cultivation, so you will have to be judicious about how you use it. NG+ will eventually be a thing, so it will technically be unlimited, but it will be limited per-playthrough, so spend it carefully. That said, there will be a lot more compared to how much is available now.

Note that you don’t gain any additional cultivation for scoring well (meaning using fewer turns) in Royale mode, that’s just for bragging rights. You get the cultivation for completing each challenge once, regardless of how many turns you take.

Ok that covers a good amount of questions I had also will quest progression be reset in new game plus allowing players to see other outcomes of quests if there's a critical juncture

Yes, that’s the plan. Character advancement and most items will carry over, but all actual game progress, like for quests and relationships, will be reset.
