Hilted. Side project looking for collaborators. A 2D pixel-art steampunk platformer built in Godot. A lot of mechanics are in, and I’m building the first level. Hilted is about staying human in a world obsessed with transcending humanity, where machinery and ambition push people past their limits. I’m looking fora pixel artist, animator, or a sound designer composer who’s excited by the idea and interested in shaping it. The gameplay premise is that you unlock new swords with different abilities that unlock new movement mechanics as well( dash, grapple hook, double jump etc). It’s currently unpaid, with a long-term plan for commercial release and revenue sharing for core collaborators. If it resonates, and you’d genuinely be excited to help shape it, I’d love to show you what I have so far.

Hi — I’m Kateryna, a composer for games and visual media. HILTED’s steampunk setting and themes around machinery, ambition, and humanity sound like a strong foundation for a distinctive musical identity. I’d be interested in shaping the score and sound direction alongside the project as it develops. My showreel is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diNhFgLL5ac — and my background: https://linkedin.com/in/kateryna-voroniuk-5b526b176/ . If you are still looking for a composer, I’d be glad to discuss the tone, current scope, and collaboration workflow.

Hey Kateryna!

I wanted to follow up with you. I really like your composition work, and I think your style could have been a great fit for Hilted, especially for things like boss fights or larger cinematic areas.

However, FordAudio has recently joined the team, so we've filled the audio position for the project. At this point, I don't anticipate needing another composer or sound designer, so I don't want to give you the impression that there is an opportunity available when there likely won't be.

I really appreciate you reaching out and sharing your work with us.

Thanks again, Kateryna, and I wish you all the best!

If you require any Motion Graphics or 3D animation for this title let me know! https://www.legarretaportfolio.com

hey Garret I like your stuff! I think we are still trying to iron out our art style so I don’t know if we are far enough along in the project to need your services! If anything changes I’ll let you know!

You know where to find me and to you and you team best of luck on your game development!

hey Garrett, I’m still struggling to find a 2D artist. But then I looked at your portfolio again and realize that you’ve done some 2-D animation. If you had  assets handed to you, would you be able to animate them? I think our biggest issue right now is that we have the foundation in the code, but the game doesn’t have good game  feel because the animations don’t correlate with the mechanics. You seem to have a diverse portfolio, but would creating animations for our protagonist be something in your wheelhouse?

2D animation is within my skillset. I would need to see what the completed character art/style looks like first.  If the style is something I can work with then I would have you send me  files currently being utilized and then I would need you to give me an action to perform.  If you choose to do so feel free to email me the necessary files to my email: legarretaportfolio@gmail.com or you can reach out to me directly on Discord:  VirulentMedia if you'd like to discuss further.

hey Garrett, I just sent you a Discord request. My username is. SpydrMonky21

I'm 11 weeks into drawing.  Here's my instagram https://www.instagram.com/adcomarts/ .   Let me know if you have any suggestions what I should make

Hey Adcom! It looks like your fundamental understanding of character design and proportions is really solid. Your sense of proportions and posing is honestly better than mine in some ways!

At the moment, though, we’re looking for really polished artwork for the game, and I think your line work and rendering could use some refinement to get there. I’d be happy to share some art tips and feedback if that would be helpful!

Overall, I think you have a strong foundation. I’d just like to see a higher level of polish in the finished pieces.

Yeah , fair.  Well ,  holler if you need me :D

If you're not too far into the project I'd love for you to build it on Orbem Studio. There's live collaboration with chat and you get a free hosted url for building/testing/playing as soon as you get started. Plus you can export to itch.io or Steam so future monetization is up to you. There's a built in art tool and .aseprite import capabilities as well so inserting animations/sprites from your artists is even easier.

I'd love to offer my full technical support to bring this game to life as well as any feature requests. You can already add double jump, create weapons for collecting/swapping including projectiles, but I'd be more than happy to add dash/grapple if you decide to try it out. If you want to check it out go to orbem.studio

Either way keep me in mind for any future projects and good luck!
