How does the game fit the theme?
The main npc/the tutorial npc turns out to be evil and steals all your diamonds that he tells you to collect. So you shouldn't have trusted him. So trust no one.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I didn't make the music, but the creator says you can use his work, as long as you're not being malicious with it.

It looks like a fun mechanic, unfortunately the demo is so short. Also, I wasn't sure how it tied into the topic.

It ties in once you collect all the diamonds and talk to the final npc.
